When waking up, after showering, outside, etc. In short, your hair gets tangled all the time. In addition to being difficult to brush and style, they are dry, brittle and split ends. We fully understand your feelings, so here are 5 tips to follow to prevent your hair from getting too tangled!
The hair tangles more quickly if it is dry : it clings much more easily to each other. The solution is therefore to moisturize and nourish the hair regularly throughout the day, especially if they are curly or frizzy. Therefore, favor oils and nourishing leave-in treatments !
We know that many of you have the same problem: unable to detangle hair after shower. We are going to give you our tips in 3 steps.
1 - Before washing your hair, brush it!
2 - In the shower, use products and treatments adapted to your hair to avoid drying them out and tangling them.
3 - Apply conditioners or masks to detangle your hair.
There is only one rule: to dry your hair, do not rub it in the towel! The trick: once your hair has been washed, wring it gently , then wrap it in a towel (preferably microfiber, it will only absorb water better) and let it dry. If you are in a hurry, blot and gently massage your hair into the towel.
Once your hair is almost dry, unroll it then gently untangle your locks with your fingers , then with a comb.
First, for effective detangling, the secret is to first brush your ends and then brush the roots . If you start by brushing your roots, you will bring down the knots in your lengths, which will only be more complicated to untangle! So start with your points, then go up little by little. If you have curly or frizzy hair, we advise you to detangle your hair with your fingers rather than with a brush.
Second, we recommend that you brush your hair morning and evening but never when your hair is still wet!
To prevent your hair from getting too tangled at night, tie it in a braid (you'll even have the chance to have a wavy effect when you wake up!).
Another tip: if you can, choose a silk pillowcase rather than a cotton one. Silk is much softer and prevents hair breakage!
